Mr. Langefeld graduated from the Central Academy of Commercial Art and worked in the commercial art field for many years.
In the 1970’s Gary studied wet watercolor techniques with Brigitte Bowyer, a popular German born artist from the Hilton Head South Carolina area.
Mr. Langefeld also studied with Ray Loos, a local Cincinnati watercolorist.
In the mid seventies he collaborated with Robert Cremins, a nationally recognized
fine artist, to organize numerous local showings open to the public
where his wet watercolor work sold quite well.
In the eighties, Gary took a hiatus from the fine art field and pursued
other artistic interests. Recently, however, he has chosen to pick up the
brushes, palette knives, paint tubes and resume his career in the field of watercolors.
The subject matter consists of old barns, boats and landscapes.
All paintings are sold framed and are not available unframed.
